Narrative:

Aircraft damage due to tire failure. Right outboard tire on main landing gear lost tread during landing rollout. The touchdown was normal with runway wet in patches. Braking initiated at 80 KIAS and taxi to gate uneventful. First indication of tire failure was at flight engineer postflt inspection. Tire was still inflated but had lost its tread. This caused damage to right inboard flap fairing, gear door and #3 engine exterior inlet cowling.
