Narrative:

Taxiing out of FBO ramp in a B727 while turning onto taxiway, engine blast moved an aeronautical commander 500 ft which hit a cement post. The commander was parked with chocks on the nosewheel only, and the parking brakes off. Damage to right wing leading edge. Aircraft parked at this ramp should be chocked on all wheels and parking brake set. Operation of B727 aircraft should not be mixed with light twins in a small FBO ramp. Flight crew was informed of incident after returning from flight by FBO supervisor.

Title: B727 JETBLAST DAMAGES ACFT PARKED AT FBO AT MEM.

Narrative: TAXIING OUT OF FBO RAMP IN A B727 WHILE TURNING ONTO TXWY, ENG BLAST MOVED AN AERO COMMANDER 500 FT WHICH HIT A CEMENT POST. THE COMMANDER WAS PARKED WITH CHOCKS ON THE NOSEWHEEL ONLY, AND THE PARKING BRAKES OFF. DAMAGE TO R WING LEADING EDGE. ACFT PARKED AT THIS RAMP SHOULD BE CHOCKED ON ALL WHEELS AND PARKING BRAKE SET. OP OF B727 ACFT SHOULD NOT BE MIXED WITH LIGHT TWINS IN A SMALL FBO RAMP. FLC WAS INFORMED OF INCIDENT AFTER RETURNING FROM FLT BY FBO SUPVR.
