Narrative:

On apr/xa/99, I was acting quality assurance supervisor. My primary duty was to verify that all work cards are properly accomplished and signed. Work card (air carrier job card abc) was accomplished and signed by the mechanic, but was not signed off by the inspector, yet the work card was signed in (by me) as completed. This situation did not jeopardize safety.

Title: A B767-300 WAS DISPATCHED IN NON COMPLIANCE WITH A JOB CARD MISSING THE REQUIRED INSPECTOR SIGNOFF.

Narrative: ON APR/XA/99, I WAS ACTING QUALITY ASSURANCE SUPVR. MY PRIMARY DUTY WAS TO VERIFY THAT ALL WORK CARDS ARE PROPERLY ACCOMPLISHED AND SIGNED. WORK CARD (ACR JOB CARD ABC) WAS ACCOMPLISHED AND SIGNED BY THE MECH, BUT WAS NOT SIGNED OFF BY THE INSPECTOR, YET THE WORK CARD WAS SIGNED IN (BY ME) AS COMPLETED.
