Narrative:

After clear to taxi was read back to ground control, I taxied across runway under the assumption that I was to hold at another hold position. I incorrectly failed to ask for clarification from ground and 'assumed' to know where the controller wanted me to cross the active runway. I was taxiing down the wrong taxiway and crossed an inactive runway, even though I had read the taxi clearance back. Poor headwork on my part! Controller was heads up and very alert to situation. No other traffic or aircraft were involved.

I WAS TAXIING DOWN THE WRONG TXWY AND CROSSED AN INACTIVE RWY, EVEN THOUGH I HAD READ THE TAXI CLRNC BACK. POOR HEADWORK ON MY PART! CTLR WAS HEADS UP AND VERY ALERT TO SIT.
