Narrative:

I programmed the FMS with the incorrect STAR to bos. I was under pressure loading the FMS and let this pressure effect me. I was given a clearance of the norwich 2 arrival into bos with my initial IFR clearance in lga. With the passenger eagerly awaiting departure and the captain eagerly awaiting taxi, I entered a STAR off the orw VOR presuming it was the correct one. En route (27 mins total) I was overwhelmed by a workload that I imposed on myself -- getting ATIS, setting up the approach to the correct runway, briefing the arrival with the FBO, etc. I was in the middle of my workload when we arrived at the orw fix. The aircraft (under autoplt) proceeded to woons intersection which is a fix on a different arrival off the orw VOR. The captain was the PF. He and I both presumed that I had correctly loaded the box. ATC asked us our heading and queried us as to our last clearance. I stumbled in disbelief, saying I was unsure. We tracked 5-10 NM on a 002 degree bearing from the orw VOR when we should have intercepted the 087 degree radial outbound (approximately) as per the orw 2 STAR. There was no traffic conflict of any kind. An airliner which was following us to the airport was asked to slow 30 KTS while ATC vectored us to final. ATC advised us that they would check into this matter. Supplemental information from acn 433626: PIC was not monitoring position and sic was busy on the radio.

Title: A CESSNA CITATION V, C560, FLEW THE WRONG STAR INTO BOS.

Narrative: I PROGRAMMED THE FMS WITH THE INCORRECT STAR TO BOS. I WAS UNDER PRESSURE LOADING THE FMS AND LET THIS PRESSURE EFFECT ME. I WAS GIVEN A CLRNC OF THE NORWICH 2 ARR INTO BOS WITH MY INITIAL IFR CLRNC IN LGA. WITH THE PAX EAGERLY AWAITING DEP AND THE CAPT EAGERLY AWAITING TAXI, I ENTERED A STAR OFF THE ORW VOR PRESUMING IT WAS THE CORRECT ONE. ENRTE (27 MINS TOTAL) I WAS OVERWHELMED BY A WORKLOAD THAT I IMPOSED ON MYSELF -- GETTING ATIS, SETTING UP THE APCH TO THE CORRECT RWY, BRIEFING THE ARR WITH THE FBO, ETC. I WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF MY WORKLOAD WHEN WE ARRIVED AT THE ORW FIX. THE ACFT (UNDER AUTOPLT) PROCEEDED TO WOONS INTXN WHICH IS A FIX ON A DIFFERENT ARR OFF THE ORW VOR. THE CAPT WAS THE PF. HE AND I BOTH PRESUMED THAT I HAD CORRECTLY LOADED THE BOX. ATC ASKED US OUR HDG AND QUERIED US AS TO OUR LAST CLRNC. I STUMBLED IN DISBELIEF, SAYING I WAS UNSURE. WE TRACKED 5-10 NM ON A 002 DEG BEARING FROM THE ORW VOR WHEN WE SHOULD HAVE INTERCEPTED THE 087 DEG RADIAL OUTBOUND (APPROX) AS PER THE ORW 2 STAR. THERE WAS NO TFC CONFLICT OF ANY KIND. AN AIRLINER WHICH WAS FOLLOWING US TO THE ARPT WAS ASKED TO SLOW 30 KTS WHILE ATC VECTORED US TO FINAL. ATC ADVISED US THAT THEY WOULD CHK INTO THIS MATTER. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 433626: PIC WAS NOT MONITORING POS AND SIC WAS BUSY ON THE RADIO.
