Narrative:

Copilot copied departure frequency 126.65 when issued clearance by dca. Our en route course was to be eastbound, so the 2 listed departure frequencys of 125.65 and 126.55 appeared similar enough that the incorrect frequency went unnoticed. This resulted in a period of lost communication after takeoff while we got things straightened out. These 2 frequencys are too similar to be assigned to such a similar routing.
