Narrative:

We were filed yyz to the bigbe intersection and then direct au sable (asp). I was the PNF and I was making a PA announcement to the passenger and then I was preoccupied with the ACARS. Due to this, I was not paying attention to the PIC and his navigation. Toronto asked if we were deviating for the WX or going direct asp. The turn to asp from bigbe should have been made at 51 NM. We were at about 80 NM. No conflict was involved. My corrective action from that day forward will be to keep an eye on the PF and to call out the DME or name of fix crossing. As the PNF, I must not become distraction from where the aircraft is headed, no matter what I'm preoccupied with. The PIC informed me he was reading the total distance of the airway bigbe was on. Bigbe is 1/2 that total.
