Narrative:

I took off from mckinnon airport heading south towards stuart. At about 15 mi north of jacksonville, I tried contacting them on 127.0. I continued to do this and was told to stay clear of all class C and D airspace. I continued to fly south and try and maintain VFR. While doing this, I must have entered class C airspace in my attempt to stay the appropriate distance from the clouds. Instead of trying to dodge the clouds to prevent this situation, I should have stayed in mckinnon until the WX cleared up more. I was eventually cleared into the airspace just south of fernandina airport.
