Narrative:

I made the landing from ILS, touched down on centerline. Aircraft drifted to the left. Applied full right rudder and applied right brake, then nose steering. Aircraft continued left. The left propeller engine hit a snow berm about 1/3 off centerline. The engine stopped. The aircraft came back to the centerline with the captain's assistance. We turned into the left engine to exit the runway. Tower said they saw flames coming out of left engine. We did a complete shutdown, tried the extinguisher bottle and evacuate/evacuationed the passenger. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter stated the aircraft was a BE1900 with P&west PT6A-67 engines. The reporter said no fire was involved in this event and no fire warning was activated. The reporter said the fire bottles were discharged but only because the tower controller thought he saw fire which was proved wrong. The reporter stated the aircraft incurred damage to the propeller and the engine was replaced due to sudden stoppage.

Narrative: I MADE THE LNDG FROM ILS, TOUCHED DOWN ON CTRLINE. ACFT DRIFTED TO THE L. APPLIED FULL R RUDDER AND APPLIED R BRAKE, THEN NOSE STEERING. ACFT CONTINUED L. THE L PROP ENG HIT A SNOW BERM ABOUT 1/3 OFF CTRLINE. THE ENG STOPPED. THE ACFT CAME BACK TO THE CTRLINE WITH THE CAPT'S ASSISTANCE. WE TURNED INTO THE L ENG TO EXIT THE RWY. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: THE RPTR STATED THE ACFT WAS A BE1900 WITH P&W PT6A-67 ENGS. THE RPTR SAID NO FIRE WAS INVOLVED IN THIS EVENT AND NO FIRE WARNING WAS ACTIVATED. THE RPTR SAID THE FIRE BOTTLES WERE DISCHARGED BUT ONLY BECAUSE THE TWR CTLR THOUGHT HE SAW FIRE WHICH WAS PROVED WRONG.
