Narrative:

Normally, ICAO-a departure for noise -- per 10-7. B757 ICAO-a procedure: climb at V2 +10 ft to 1500 ft, then flight level change, set V2 +15 ft to 3000 ft. On runway, due to WX, given right turn, heading 350 degrees, climb to 1500 ft. (Runway 27R departure.) following ICAO-a procedure caused the autoplt to fly through 1500 ft rapidly. We caught it at 2000 ft and returned to 1500 ft as soon as possible (no conflict). There is no warning in our procedures to not use ICAO-a procedures below 3000 ft.

Narrative: NORMALLY, ICAO-A DEP FOR NOISE -- PER 10-7. B757 ICAO-A PROC: CLB AT V2 +10 FT TO 1500 FT, THEN FLT LEVEL CHANGE, SET V2 +15 FT TO 3000 FT. ON RWY, DUE TO WX, GIVEN R TURN, HDG 350 DEGS, CLB TO 1500 FT. (RWY 27R DEP.) FOLLOWING ICAO-A PROC CAUSED THE AUTOPLT TO FLY THROUGH 1500 FT RAPIDLY.
