Narrative:

Completed all preflight checks in accordance with company policy. Aircraft rted air carrier flight lga-clt. Sometime during flight, APU access door opened and was 1/2 torn off aircraft. Discovered upon through-flight walkaround in clt. Maintenance notified, aircraft removed from service.
