Narrative:

After landing on runway 25L and exiting north on taxiway P, my aircraft X encroached on the hold line for runway 25R. While rolling out on runway 25L, tower instructed us to pass up the highspd taxiway and continue down to taxiway P before exiting. I exited north on taxiway P, intending to hold short of runway 25R, but didn't realize how little space there actually is between runways on this perpendicular taxiway. Turning onto the taxiway, I mistook the hold line for runway 25R northbound as the hold line for runway 25L sbound and allowed the aircraft to start across that line. At that point, I believed that the aircraft was not fully clear of runway 25L and even commented to the first officer that I was moving forward to get off the runway. Before I realized that it was, in fact, the hold line for runway 25R and became fully stopped, the aircraft had partially crossed the line, however, did not enter runway 25R! Subsequently, lax tower did instruct a commuter aircraft Y on final approach for runway 25R to 'go around.' supplemental information from acn 430850: as we slowed to a walking speed of taxi, I picked up the ground taxi chart and began reviewing the north taxi route to expect. As I glanced up, I saw we were getting close to the runway. At that instant, the tower controller said 'air carrier X, confirm hold short runway 25R.' I responded 'holding short of runway 25R.' we stopped short of the runway about 10-15 ft short of the edge of the runway. The tower controller issued a go around to the landing brasilia on runway 25R.

Title: A320 FLC FOLLOWS ASSIGNED TAXI INSTRUCTIONS BUT MISSES RWY HOLD SHORT LINE, CAUSING E120 ON SHORT FINAL TO BE ISSUED A GAR.

Narrative: AFTER LNDG ON RWY 25L AND EXITING N ON TXWY P, MY ACFT X ENCROACHED ON THE HOLD LINE FOR RWY 25R. WHILE ROLLING OUT ON RWY 25L, TWR INSTRUCTED US TO PASS UP THE HIGHSPD TXWY AND CONTINUE DOWN TO TXWY P BEFORE EXITING. I EXITED N ON TXWY P, INTENDING TO HOLD SHORT OF RWY 25R, BUT DIDN'T REALIZE HOW LITTLE SPACE THERE ACTUALLY IS BTWN RWYS ON THIS PERPENDICULAR TXWY. TURNING ONTO THE TXWY, I MISTOOK THE HOLD LINE FOR RWY 25R NBOUND AS THE HOLD LINE FOR RWY 25L SBOUND AND ALLOWED THE ACFT TO START ACROSS THAT LINE. AT THAT POINT, I BELIEVED THAT THE ACFT WAS NOT FULLY CLR OF RWY 25L AND EVEN COMMENTED TO THE FO THAT I WAS MOVING FORWARD TO GET OFF THE RWY. BEFORE I REALIZED THAT IT WAS, IN FACT, THE HOLD LINE FOR RWY 25R AND BECAME FULLY STOPPED, THE ACFT HAD PARTIALLY CROSSED THE LINE, HOWEVER, DID NOT ENTER RWY 25R! SUBSEQUENTLY, LAX TWR DID INSTRUCT A COMMUTER ACFT Y ON FINAL APCH FOR RWY 25R TO 'GO AROUND.' SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 430850: AS WE SLOWED TO A WALKING SPD OF TAXI, I PICKED UP THE GND TAXI CHART AND BEGAN REVIEWING THE N TAXI RTE TO EXPECT. AS I GLANCED UP, I SAW WE WERE GETTING CLOSE TO THE RWY. AT THAT INSTANT, THE TWR CTLR SAID 'ACR X, CONFIRM HOLD SHORT RWY 25R.' I RESPONDED 'HOLDING SHORT OF RWY 25R.' WE STOPPED SHORT OF THE RWY ABOUT 10-15 FT SHORT OF THE EDGE OF THE RWY. THE TWR CTLR ISSUED A GAR TO THE LNDG BRASILIA ON RWY 25R.
