Narrative:

I was on final approach for runway 9, winds 110 degrees at 3 KTS, using 30 degrees of flaps, throttle off. VASI lights indicated 3 white and 1 red so I decided to aim further down the runway than usual. When I started to flare, the plane started back up, so I let up some pressure on the controls. When I did, the plane landed hard. The up and down motions amplified before they died down. There were 3 bounces. The plane could not taxi because of a flat tire and broken nosewheel.
