Narrative:

While climbing en route, was cleared to 3000 ft. At about 7000 ft, center asked what altitude we were cleared to. I said 3000 ft. They then cleared me to 7000 ft. Because of little sleep the night before and up very early, my concentration was not real good.

Narrative: WHILE CLBING ENRTE, WAS CLRED TO 3000 FT. AT ABOUT 7000 FT, CTR ASKED WHAT ALT WE WERE CLRED TO. I SAID 3000 FT. THEY THEN CLRED ME TO 7000 FT. BECAUSE OF LITTLE SLEEP THE NIGHT BEFORE AND UP VERY EARLY, MY CONCENTRATION WAS NOT REAL GOOD.
