Narrative:

Passing ewm outbound on J4, set in 274 degree radial for J184 by mistake. Correct radial, 266 degrees, was printed below the airway. 274 degree radial was printed above. Both the copilot and I read the same radial. We even verified it with each other. We corrected the course a few mins before center mentioned it. Obviously more vigilance required.

Title: AN AIRLINE MD80 SUPER 80 CREW TRACKED OUT ON THE WRONG RADIAL WHEN BOTH PLTS MISREAD THE CHART.

Narrative: PASSING EWM OUTBOUND ON J4, SET IN 274 DEG RADIAL FOR J184 BY MISTAKE. CORRECT RADIAL, 266 DEGS, WAS PRINTED BELOW THE AIRWAY. 274 DEG RADIAL WAS PRINTED ABOVE. BOTH THE COPLT AND I READ THE SAME RADIAL. WE EVEN VERIFIED IT WITH EACH OTHER. WE CORRECTED THE COURSE A FEW MINS BEFORE CTR MENTIONED IT. OBVIOUSLY MORE VIGILANCE REQUIRED.
