Narrative:

Approximately XA00Z I received a call from zan, air carrier ab, and air carrier cde. Mr X informed me that both air carrier cde and air carrier ab were not approved for the russian route and was very concerned that they were released on routing. I explained to them that the previous dispatcher that I relieved at XB00 local time was released the flight and that I would look into it. He strongly suggested that I inform my supervisor. Air carrier cde and air carrier ab were both on a russian route without approval. I had to land air carrier cde short into nrt. Air carrier ab was able to continue to nrt with the rerte. When I took the desk at XB00 it was never conveyed to me, from the off going dispatcher, that the flts were not approved on the russian route because of insufficient fuel.
