Narrative:

While working sector 6 at ZDV, we experienced an uncommanded, unexpected complete 'lockout' of the ability to transmit on all normal ground-to-air frequencys associated with vscs. Ground-to-ground communications and the ability to receive air-to-ground xmissions remained intact. We had to revert to emergency back-up communications separate from vscs (vears). A time period later, communications mysteriously returned to normal. A special event then occurred on sector 11. It had also happened to me earlier on sector 12 and to others earlier in the week at these position.
