Narrative:

After landing at dab runway 25R, I made a right turn off the runway per tower instructions and contacted ground. Ground control advised a right turn on taxiway north, hold short of taxiway west. Taxiing east on taxiway north, passenger in right front seat remarked that the aircraft on final (a C310) looked like he was going to 'land where we are.' I dismissed that because of a strong crosswind, and also because I've seen that illusion before. In any case I watched and as the C310 came closer I realized he was landing on taxiway north. In the meantime, a learjet had landed on runway 25R behind us. He pulled off the runway, but short of taxiway north. When I realized the C310 was landing, I happened to be next to the air carrier ramp taxiway across from taxiway N6. I advised ground that I was turning off taxiway north. I turned onto the ramp and made a 180 degree turn. At this time ground advised everyone to 'stand by.' the C310 proceeded to do a touch-and-go on taxiway north. I then told ground I was going to continue my taxi on taxiway north, which was approved. In hindsight, maybe I could have talked to ground about what I was looking at sooner, or switched over to tower frequency on communication #2 to help that poor guy out.

Title: A PIPER CHEYENNE TWIN TURBOPROP TAXIES OFF OF TXWY N AT DAB WHEN THE PAX AND PLT OBSERVE A C310 APCHING THE TXWY TO LAND. THE C310 MAKES A TOUCH-AND-GO, THINKING THAT THE TXWY IS RWY 25R.

Narrative: AFTER LNDG AT DAB RWY 25R, I MADE A R TURN OFF THE RWY PER TWR INSTRUCTIONS AND CONTACTED GND. GND CTL ADVISED A R TURN ON TXWY N, HOLD SHORT OF TXWY W. TAXIING E ON TXWY N, PAX IN R FRONT SEAT REMARKED THAT THE ACFT ON FINAL (A C310) LOOKED LIKE HE WAS GOING TO 'LAND WHERE WE ARE.' I DISMISSED THAT BECAUSE OF A STRONG XWIND, AND ALSO BECAUSE I'VE SEEN THAT ILLUSION BEFORE. IN ANY CASE I WATCHED AND AS THE C310 CAME CLOSER I REALIZED HE WAS LNDG ON TXWY N. IN THE MEANTIME, A LEARJET HAD LANDED ON RWY 25R BEHIND US. HE PULLED OFF THE RWY, BUT SHORT OF TXWY N. WHEN I REALIZED THE C310 WAS LNDG, I HAPPENED TO BE NEXT TO THE ACR RAMP TXWY ACROSS FROM TXWY N6. I ADVISED GND THAT I WAS TURNING OFF TXWY N. I TURNED ONTO THE RAMP AND MADE A 180 DEG TURN. AT THIS TIME GND ADVISED EVERYONE TO 'STAND BY.' THE C310 PROCEEDED TO DO A TOUCH-AND-GO ON TXWY N. I THEN TOLD GND I WAS GOING TO CONTINUE MY TAXI ON TXWY N, WHICH WAS APPROVED. IN HINDSIGHT, MAYBE I COULD HAVE TALKED TO GND ABOUT WHAT I WAS LOOKING AT SOONER, OR SWITCHED OVER TO TWR FREQ ON COM #2 TO HELP THAT POOR GUY OUT.
