B737 flight crew receive clearance to taxi to runway 31C at mdw. When crossing runway 31R, and changing from ground control to local control, PIC hears tower issue go around clearance to a jetstream on short final. No comment is received from the tower about the incident.

Narrative:
Cleared by midway ground to taxi runway 31C, cleared to cross runway 31R. When just starting to cross runway 31R, aircraft X saw a jetstream aircraft Y at about 1/4 mi final to runway 31R (below 200 ft or so). Did not see him on first look. First officer was switching radio to tower at the time. When up on frequency, tower sent the jetstream around. Aircraft passed behind us. Ground, nor tower called us after the initial 'cleared to cross runway 31R' clearance.

Narrative: CLRED BY MIDWAY GND TO TAXI RWY 31C, CLRED TO CROSS RWY 31R. WHEN JUST STARTING TO CROSS RWY 31R, ACFT X SAW A JETSTREAM ACFT Y AT ABOUT 1/4 MI FINAL TO RWY 31R (BELOW 200 FT OR SO). DID NOT SEE HIM ON FIRST LOOK. FO WAS SWITCHING RADIO TO TWR AT THE TIME. WHEN UP ON FREQ, TWR SENT THE JETSTREAM AROUND. ACFT PASSED BEHIND US. GND, NOR TWR CALLED US AFTER THE INITIAL 'CLRED TO CROSS RWY 31R' CLRNC.
