Narrative:

We had to land in lax a few moments after takeoff. The cockpit crew informed us that the gear would not go up. So we needed to return to lax. On the ground in operations, another crew told our captain that he had that problem the other day. He then made a comment that he was glad to see that they fixed the problem. On feb/xa/99, the crew was supposed to fly aircraft xax from lax to iad. After a lengthy delay, they canceled the flight. A mechanic made a comment to the captain after the captain asked why plane was still having problems. His comments were: they are getting rid of all the senior mechanics and hiring too many junior guys that aren't as good.
