Narrative:

Ground crew advised 'walkaround complete' indicating they had walked around aircraft to check for any open doors or pushback hazards. We released brakes and 'cleared to push' per our procedures. Aircraft went back 10 ft and hit a ladder with left aft wing. We held our position, set brakes, called for maintenance to inspect. They grounded aircraft. Damage to aileron, trim tab, tab fairing, and flap, because ladder slid along trailing edge as aircraft backed up. Pushback crew did not have wing walker as specified by company procedure.
