Narrative:

Upon accepting the aircraft at msp, an open logbook write-up was missed. Item: loose smoke panel doors on cockpit door. Logbook was reviewed for daily inspection, lids, and other items. This item was missed. Maintenance at msp was not notified by inbound crew of write-up. Captain, who wrote up item, did not tell new accepting captain and maintenance did not do standard review of logbook at msp. Item discovered once airborne. The captain notified dtw maintenance and item cleared.
