Narrative:

Paradrop mission over coolidge airport, az. My aircraft, king air B90, on a drop from 14500 ft MSL. Other aircraft, B737, on a descent to 11000 ft MSL. Paradrop king air in contact and being given radar advisories by ZAB. B737 on IFR flight plan and controled by ZAB. ZAB gave me the traffic as a 'B737, 20 mi north, descending to 11000 ft.' I acknowledged. ZAB gave B737 traffic as 'king air, 20 mi south, climbing to 15000 ft with parachute jumpers.' B737 acknowledged and said 'we sure don't want to hit those guys.' I said on frequency 'well, we sure don't want to get hit!' B737 says in a hostile tone, 'then move.' ATC asks me how long until drop. I reply approximately 2 mins. B737 tells ATC they 'have the king air in sight.' ATC acknowledged. I release the jumpers, then the B737 says 'coming right' and says that 'was ridiculous.' evidently he felt there was a conflict. Both aircraft were on same heading, B737 was overtaking aircraft. We only release jumpers if there is no traffic, or we have the traffic in sight, or they have us in sight. If ATC or any other traffic requests a hold, we hold. B737 had us in sight in clear WX, he is the overtaking aircraft, we have the right-of-way. He knew what we were going to do, yet he complains. Evidently he has ignored or forgotten his responsibility for separation in VFR conditions, as spelled out in far 91.113(B) and (F). Air carrier pilots need to heed the rules of the road in VFR conditions.

Title: PLT OF A PARADROP KING AIR BE90 IS GIVEN TA OF A B737 THAT WILL BE OVERTAKING THE KING AIR AND DSNDING BELOW THE KING AIR'S ALT. THE B737 IS ALSO GIVEN THE KING AIR AND HEARS THAT THE JUMPERS WILL BE AWAY IN 2 MINS. THE B737 CREW SAYS TO 'MOVE IT' TO THE KING AIR AND THEN TURNS R TO AVOID ANY CONFLICT WITH THE JUMPERS.

Narrative: PARADROP MISSION OVER COOLIDGE ARPT, AZ. MY ACFT, KING AIR B90, ON A DROP FROM 14500 FT MSL. OTHER ACFT, B737, ON A DSCNT TO 11000 FT MSL. PARADROP KING AIR IN CONTACT AND BEING GIVEN RADAR ADVISORIES BY ZAB. B737 ON IFR FLT PLAN AND CTLED BY ZAB. ZAB GAVE ME THE TFC AS A 'B737, 20 MI N, DSNDING TO 11000 FT.' I ACKNOWLEDGED. ZAB GAVE B737 TFC AS 'KING AIR, 20 MI S, CLBING TO 15000 FT WITH PARACHUTE JUMPERS.' B737 ACKNOWLEDGED AND SAID 'WE SURE DON'T WANT TO HIT THOSE GUYS.' I SAID ON FREQ 'WELL, WE SURE DON'T WANT TO GET HIT!' B737 SAYS IN A HOSTILE TONE, 'THEN MOVE.' ATC ASKS ME HOW LONG UNTIL DROP. I REPLY APPROX 2 MINS. B737 TELLS ATC THEY 'HAVE THE KING AIR IN SIGHT.' ATC ACKNOWLEDGED. I RELEASE THE JUMPERS, THEN THE B737 SAYS 'COMING R' AND SAYS THAT 'WAS RIDICULOUS.' EVIDENTLY HE FELT THERE WAS A CONFLICT. BOTH ACFT WERE ON SAME HDG, B737 WAS OVERTAKING ACFT. WE ONLY RELEASE JUMPERS IF THERE IS NO TFC, OR WE HAVE THE TFC IN SIGHT, OR THEY HAVE US IN SIGHT. IF ATC OR ANY OTHER TFC REQUESTS A HOLD, WE HOLD. B737 HAD US IN SIGHT IN CLR WX, HE IS THE OVERTAKING ACFT, WE HAVE THE RIGHT-OF-WAY. HE KNEW WHAT WE WERE GOING TO DO, YET HE COMPLAINS. EVIDENTLY HE HAS IGNORED OR FORGOTTEN HIS RESPONSIBILITY FOR SEPARATION IN VFR CONDITIONS, AS SPELLED OUT IN FAR 91.113(B) AND (F). ACR PLTS NEED TO HEED THE RULES OF THE ROAD IN VFR CONDITIONS.
