Narrative:

On the bowie 4 arrival (ukw.UKW4) I became dependent on the FMC directed automatic system and missed the requirement of IAS 210 KTS at siler intersection. My distrs were turbulence and the recommended speed of the B757 of 250 KIAS. I did not communicate the turbulence and IAS of 250 KTS, while dependent on the FMC to slow the aircraft. After siler intersection, the ATC controller asked about our IAS. We reported 250 KIAS and the controller said we missed the requirement of 210 KIAS and that 250 KIAS had worked well. I must constantly be aware of not becoming complacent with the FMC technology!
