Narrative:

During preflight, noted brake deferral in logbook reference page #zyxzz item P.1. Dated dec/xa/98. Write-up was 'spongy brakes.' during taxi out at buffalo, braking appeared normal. Upon landing at roc, braking was ineffective. Brakes felt spongy. Also suspect antiskid problem. Unable to stop aircraft on runway. Brakes were also written up on later flight.

Title: A B727-100 ON LNDG ROLLOUT EXPERIENCED INEFFECTIVE BRAKING AND WAS UNABLE TO STOP THE ACFT ON THE RWY. ACFT HAD PREVIOUS HISTORY OF BRAKE PROBS.
