Narrative:

Passenger in seat xyx would not allow passenger in seat XXX to recline her seat. Passenger in seat XXX went to the aft galley and reported the situation to the cabin crew. Passenger was crying and told the crew she felt too harassed and uncomfortable to return to her seat. Cabin crew went to address the situation with passenger in seat xyx. This passenger would not listen to reason and argued with the crew. I was the purser and got involved at this time. Passenger in seat xyx continued to argue and I told her the captain would land the aircraft in boston and put her off if the behavior continued. I heard no more from the crew or passenger. Meanwhile, passenger in seat XXX refused to return to her seat because she was afraid of passenger in seat xyx. She was reaccommodated elsewhere in the cabin. Reason for the problem: 1) passenger in seat xyx was very tall and pre-reserved bulkhead seats were given away due to passenger arriving late at aircraft (10 mins before departure). 2) passenger in seat xyx also had a lap child. 3) could not move seat xyx to bulkhead seats because they were occupied -- only seats remaining were center seats. Solutions: 1) passenger should have arrived on time to aircraft. 2) airline could increase leg space in the cabin.
