VFR flight, delivering pitts special, lost electrical power en route and was using pilotage and dead reckoning to continue to fuel stop. WX was closing behind, and with fuel getting low, I was trying to skirt clt class B airspace to davis county airport for fuel stop. Upon arriving, I was telephoned and ATC advised I was within 5 mi of clt airport.

Narrative: VFR FLT, DELIVERING PITTS SPECIAL, LOST ELECTRICAL PWR ENRTE AND WAS USING PILOTAGE AND DEAD RECKONING TO CONTINUE TO FUEL STOP. WX WAS CLOSING BEHIND, AND WITH FUEL GETTING LOW, I WAS TRYING TO SKIRT CLT CLASS B AIRSPACE TO DAVIS COUNTY ARPT FOR FUEL STOP. UPON ARRIVING, I WAS TELEPHONED AND ATC ADVISED I WAS WITHIN 5 MI OF CLT ARPT.
