Narrative:

I was the D side on R33 (ZTL). Aircraft #1 had departed from W77 en route to day. We received handoff from ZTL R30. Aircraft was under radar vector climb shelf. I had not given a pointout to ZDC 36 as aircraft was not climbing well. The right side climbed aircraft #1. I asked the right side if he (aircraft) was ok with climb shelf boundaries. He said 'yes.' the next time I saw the aircraft he was in our sector out of FL240 and clear of ZDC climb shelf. I do not know if the aircraft clipped the shelf on climb and possibly violated a corner of ZDC airspace. I did not observe a violation of airspace. Sector was very busy and right side was a little behind.

Title: RPTR EXPRESSED DOUBT WHETHER ACFT #1 VIOLATED ADJACENT CTR'S AIRSPACE. NO POINTOUT WAS GIVEN.

Narrative: I WAS THE D SIDE ON R33 (ZTL). ACFT #1 HAD DEPARTED FROM W77 ENRTE TO DAY. WE RECEIVED HDOF FROM ZTL R30. ACFT WAS UNDER RADAR VECTOR CLB SHELF. I HAD NOT GIVEN A POINTOUT TO ZDC 36 AS ACFT WAS NOT CLBING WELL. THE R SIDE CLBED ACFT #1. I ASKED THE R SIDE IF HE (ACFT) WAS OK WITH CLB SHELF BOUNDARIES. HE SAID 'YES.' THE NEXT TIME I SAW THE ACFT HE WAS IN OUR SECTOR OUT OF FL240 AND CLR OF ZDC CLB SHELF. I DO NOT KNOW IF THE ACFT CLIPPED THE SHELF ON CLB AND POSSIBLY VIOLATED A CORNER OF ZDC AIRSPACE. I DID NOT OBSERVE A VIOLATION OF AIRSPACE. SECTOR WAS VERY BUSY AND R SIDE WAS A LITTLE BEHIND.
