Narrative:

ATC appears to be a little unorganized at lax. Not uncommon (as was again the case today) to get 5 or 6 STAR approach/runway changes in last 10 mins of flight coming into lax. This morning we were given 5 changes of STAR, approach and runway in less than 10 mins -- all requiring crew chart changes and new briefings. All while trying to fly the last assigned STAR given by ATC. These people need to get their act together. There are busy (busier than lax) airports that don't change the plan all the time. When they finally decided which runway they wanted us on, vector was provided to intercept. We could not yet see field, vector did not correct for the wind and we blew into extended centerline of adjacent runway before correcting on our own over to runway 7R.

Title: RPTR COMPLAINED ABOUT BOTH LAX TWR AND TRACON ISSUING NUMEROUS CHANGES TO THE FLC AS TO WHAT STAR, APCH OR RWY TO EXPECT AT LAX. RPTR INDICATED THAT THIS HAPPENS QUITE A BIT AT BOTH FACILITIES.
