United states border agent found that a cessna citation ii C550 did not have the original aircraft registration certificate on board when coming back into the united states. Flight crew believe that it was accidentally left behind from the departure point in the foreign country.

Narrative:
Upon our arrival at calexico, it was discovered we no longer were in possession of the original registration certificate. It was lost in mexico. Seems that we left it behind after clearing out of la paz. We did have a photocopy which was presented to customs agent at calexico.

Narrative: UPON OUR ARR AT CALEXICO, IT WAS DISCOVERED WE NO LONGER WERE IN POSSESSION OF THE ORIGINAL REGISTRATION CERTIFICATE. IT WAS LOST IN MEXICO. SEEMS THAT WE LEFT IT BEHIND AFTER CLRING OUT OF LA PAZ. WE DID HAVE A PHOTOCOPY WHICH WAS PRESENTED TO CUSTOMS AGENT AT CALEXICO.
