Narrative:

After approaching civit on civit 4 arrival, flight was vectored for mitts 1 arrival and descend via mitts 1. PF secured cabin for arrival as flight crossed mitts at 10000 ft. At this time, PNF set next descent crossing altitude per company procedure. PNF mistakenly set 8000 ft rather than 9000 ft for jonzz crossing restr. As flight approached jonzz, PF noted that 8000 ft rather than 9000 ft was set. Flight crossed jonzz at approximately 8800-8700 ft. After landing, this was discussed by air crew and that extreme vigilance must be used on all STAR crossing altitudes. Mistake was an honest one made in good faith. At no time did approach query our altitude.

Title: FLC OF AN ACR MLG MISTAKENLY SET THE WRONG ALT FOR THE NEXT XING FIX ON A STAR ARR. A CORRECTION WAS MADE AT ONCE WITH NO INQUIRY FROM ATC.

Narrative: AFTER APCHING CIVIT ON CIVIT 4 ARR, FLT WAS VECTORED FOR MITTS 1 ARR AND DSND VIA MITTS 1. PF SECURED CABIN FOR ARR AS FLT CROSSED MITTS AT 10000 FT. AT THIS TIME, PNF SET NEXT DSCNT XING ALT PER COMPANY PROC. PNF MISTAKENLY SET 8000 FT RATHER THAN 9000 FT FOR JONZZ XING RESTR. AS FLT APCHED JONZZ, PF NOTED THAT 8000 FT RATHER THAN 9000 FT WAS SET. FLT CROSSED JONZZ AT APPROX 8800-8700 FT. AFTER LNDG, THIS WAS DISCUSSED BY AIR CREW AND THAT EXTREME VIGILANCE MUST BE USED ON ALL STAR XING ALTS. MISTAKE WAS AN HONEST ONE MADE IN GOOD FAITH. AT NO TIME DID APCH QUERY OUR ALT.
