Narrative:

Clt to lax. On arrival lax approach cleared via paradise 2 arrival to runway 25L changed to mudde 3 arrival to runway 25R then cleared direct snrkl intersection and cleared via mitts 1 arrival runway 24R. Descending out of 12000 ft we were asked to keep an air carrier flight in sight. The air carrier was landing left side. We were landing on right side. On the mitts arrival we went slightly below the 8000 ft restr at denay. No conflict with traffic. Lax does a great job of moving traffic but from a pilot's stand, all the arrs being changed (3) for us plus runway changes, and add in trying to visually keep someone in sight, puts a heavy workload in the cockpit. Also, reloading the approach in the FMC takes time when you don't have much time to spare.

LAX DOES A GREAT JOB OF MOVING TFC BUT FROM A PLT'S STAND, ALL THE ARRS BEING CHANGED (3) FOR US PLUS RWY CHANGES, AND ADD IN TRYING TO VISUALLY KEEP SOMEONE IN SIGHT, PUTS A HVY WORKLOAD IN THE COCKPIT. ALSO, RELOADING THE APCH IN THE FMC TAKES TIME WHEN YOU DON'T HAVE MUCH TIME TO SPARE.
