Narrative:
Upon landing in atl (runway 9R) 3 mi or less visibility, we saw an aircraft on the runway as we touched down. We used maximum braking and full reverse to stop on a wet runway to avoid the air carrier brasilia aircraft still on the active runway.

Title: L1011 CREW LANDED ON RWY THAT WAS OCCUPIED.
Narrative: UPON LNDG IN ATL (RWY 9R) 3 MI OR LESS VISIBILITY, WE SAW AN ACFT ON THE RWY AS WE TOUCHED DOWN. WE USED MAX BRAKING AND FULL REVERSE TO STOP ON A WET RWY TO AVOID THE ACR BRASILIA ACFT STILL ON THE ACTIVE RWY.
