Narrative:

While cruising at FL270 en route to ewr, after an en route rerte, ZOB controller switched us from their frequency 127.47 to ZBW frequency of 126.47. Upon dialing in the ZBW frequency, ZBW was calling us to turn immediately for traffic. At the same time, the TCASII alerted to traffic off our right side. We acknowledged ZBW's turn instructions and immediately turned 60 degrees left. ZBW told air carrier XXX to turn right 60 degrees immediately, which they did and acknowledged. Visual contact was made with both planes confirming both were at the same altitude. TCASII showed both aircraft came within 4 NM of each other at the same altitude.
