Narrative:
I may have mistakenly allowed an unauthorized person to jump seat on a flight. The person idented herself as a crew member. I thought she showed an airline identify. I offered her the jump seat because she was curious about the aircraft. This occurred during flight closeout, a very hectic time. We also take many jump seaters, and sometimes become complacent on scrutinizing idents. This also was during our third 13+ hour day with short overnights. I was tired. I did not realize there was a problem until after we landed and a man identing himself as her commander berated me for allowing an unauthorized person in the cockpit. The person had departed by that time. I could not investigate further. For corrective actions, our long days with many legs will not change, so fatigue cannot be helped, but my complacency could. I will be much more diligent in the future.

Title: ACR CREW ALLOWS UNAUTH JUMP SEAT RIDER AT MIA.
Narrative: I MAY HAVE MISTAKENLY ALLOWED AN UNAUTH PERSON TO JUMP SEAT ON A FLT. THE PERSON IDENTED HERSELF AS A CREW MEMBER. I THOUGHT SHE SHOWED AN AIRLINE IDENT. I OFFERED HER THE JUMP SEAT BECAUSE SHE WAS CURIOUS ABOUT THE ACFT. THIS OCCURRED DURING FLT CLOSEOUT, A VERY HECTIC TIME. WE ALSO TAKE MANY JUMP SEATERS, AND SOMETIMES BECOME COMPLACENT ON SCRUTINIZING IDENTS. THIS ALSO WAS DURING OUR THIRD 13+ HR DAY WITH SHORT OVERNIGHTS. I WAS TIRED. I DID NOT REALIZE THERE WAS A PROB UNTIL AFTER WE LANDED AND A MAN IDENTING HIMSELF AS HER COMMANDER BERATED ME FOR ALLOWING AN UNAUTH PERSON IN THE COCKPIT.
