Narrative:

I was inbound to bowman field and contacted the tower 9 mi out to the east on a 260 degree heading landing bowman. While descending through 4000 ft MSL, bowman tower advised me to report a midfield right downwind for runway 6. It was XX00 hours local time and I was flying directly into a setting sun and had difficulty locating the airport and as a result, leveled off at 3700 ft MSL. At approximately 3.5 mi out of bowman the field was located and I then descended to pattern altitude. It was at this time I realized I had penetrated standiford field airspace. Contacting standiford approach would have prevented this situation from occurring.

Narrative: I WAS INBOUND TO BOWMAN FIELD AND CONTACTED THE TWR 9 MI OUT TO THE E ON A 260 DEG HDG LNDG BOWMAN. WHILE DSNDING THROUGH 4000 FT MSL, BOWMAN TWR ADVISED ME TO RPT A MIDFIELD R DOWNWIND FOR RWY 6. IT WAS XX00 HRS LCL TIME AND I WAS FLYING DIRECTLY INTO A SETTING SUN AND HAD DIFFICULTY LOCATING THE ARPT AND AS A RESULT, LEVELED OFF AT 3700 FT MSL. AT APPROX 3.5 MI OUT OF BOWMAN THE FIELD WAS LOCATED AND I THEN DSNDED TO PATTERN ALT. IT WAS AT THIS TIME I REALIZED I HAD PENETRATED STANDIFORD FIELD AIRSPACE. CONTACTING STANDIFORD APCH WOULD HAVE PREVENTED THIS SIT FROM OCCURRING.
