Narrative:

About 30 NM from hector VOR, I asked for a radar vector to garden city. Center said that it was not on my flight plan. The flight plan I had did have it on the route. The flight plan I got from my company was not the latest one they had issued me. The local air carrier operations had not given us our most latest flight plan. The first officer and so can confirm this. The route was lax direct mem. Note: ZLC and I cleared up the problem before the route diverged on the different flight plans.
