Narrative:

On takeoff runway 7L at dab, my student and I were at 1800 ft climbing to 2000 ft on a 110 degree vector. At approximately 1800 ft, the engine sputtered and an RPM loss was noted (300-400 RPM). The engine then began to run smooth again. No emergency was declared, IFR clearance was canceled, and returned to dab without incident.
