Parts listed above (fuel manifolds, oil lines, air lines) are being installed on cf-6 engines with all kinds of foreign material in them. The cleaning tank has debris in it that is suspended in the medium due to agitation. After being removed, each circuit is not being flushed. Using borescope I have found blocked passages. I have heard of test cell rejects the result of blocked fuel nozzles. Also damaged gear boxes. I've started alerting people jan/98 and it is still a problem. This FOD could plug fuel shroud drain and cause leaks.

Title: DURING SHOP OVERHAUL OF CF-6 ENGS IN THE BUILDUP STAGE, CRITICAL COMPONENTS ARE NOT BEING CLEANED PROPERLY RESULTING IN TEST CELL REJECTS AND DAMAGED GEAR BOXES.
Narrative: PARTS LISTED ABOVE (FUEL MANIFOLDS, OIL LINES, AIR LINES) ARE BEING INSTALLED ON CF-6 ENGS WITH ALL KINDS OF FOREIGN MATERIAL IN THEM. THE CLEANING TANK HAS DEBRIS IN IT THAT IS SUSPENDED IN THE MEDIUM DUE TO AGITATION. AFTER BEING REMOVED, EACH CIRCUIT IS NOT BEING FLUSHED. USING BORESCOPE I HAVE FOUND BLOCKED PASSAGES.
