Narrative:

As we were taxiing to the active runway, ground control gave us instructions specific to our aircraft, but under the wrong call sign. We asked if the instructions were for our call sign in which she replied 'affirmative.' thereafter, the controller continued to give us instructions under the wrong call sign and we responded with our correct call sign. When ground control switched us to tower, tower gave us a takeoff clearance under the wrong call sign. At that time we explained to tower that ground control was calling us incorrectly and that we had attempted to correct them. Tower informed us that a company aircraft that he cleared for takeoff earlier had a similar call sign, causing all of the confusion. He also mentioned that the ground controller was in training. In retrospect, we should have taken more time with ground control explaining that we were in fact under a different call sign.

Title: TWR CTLRS USED THE WRONG CALL SIGN CONTINUOUSLY FOR AN ACR ACFT FROM START OF TAXI UNTIL CLRED FOR TKOF. THE FLC ATTEMPTED TO CORRECT THE TWR SEVERAL TIMES AND FINALLY GOT IT CORRECTED. CTLR TRAINING IN PROGRESS.

Narrative: AS WE WERE TAXIING TO THE ACTIVE RWY, GND CTL GAVE US INSTRUCTIONS SPECIFIC TO OUR ACFT, BUT UNDER THE WRONG CALL SIGN. WE ASKED IF THE INSTRUCTIONS WERE FOR OUR CALL SIGN IN WHICH SHE REPLIED 'AFFIRMATIVE.' THEREAFTER, THE CTLR CONTINUED TO GIVE US INSTRUCTIONS UNDER THE WRONG CALL SIGN AND WE RESPONDED WITH OUR CORRECT CALL SIGN. WHEN GND CTL SWITCHED US TO TWR, TWR GAVE US A TKOF CLRNC UNDER THE WRONG CALL SIGN. AT THAT TIME WE EXPLAINED TO TWR THAT GND CTL WAS CALLING US INCORRECTLY AND THAT WE HAD ATTEMPTED TO CORRECT THEM. TWR INFORMED US THAT A COMPANY ACFT THAT HE CLRED FOR TKOF EARLIER HAD A SIMILAR CALL SIGN, CAUSING ALL OF THE CONFUSION. HE ALSO MENTIONED THAT THE GND CTLR WAS IN TRAINING. IN RETROSPECT, WE SHOULD HAVE TAKEN MORE TIME WITH GND CTL EXPLAINING THAT WE WERE IN FACT UNDER A DIFFERENT CALL SIGN.
