Narrative:
Landed runway 23 pvd, turned off runway at taxiway D. Instructed to taxi to taxiway north ramp via taxiway D, T, T1, V (not sure if controller indicated to use taxiway north, M, a to north ramp because we normally taxied from runway 23 via taxiway V to north ramp). The revision to 10-9 changing the restr to taxiing on north ramp came out late aug/98 effective aug/xx/98. Cause: long taxi clearance because of construction on southwest part of taxiway V. Crew should be careful to check approach plates for changes, restrs, etc. Supplemental information from acn 413801: landed runway 23 at pvd, turned off at taxiway D. Ground instructed to proceed taxiway D to taxiway T right on taxiway T, left on taxiway V and what is believed to be taxiway V to the end. He may have said taxiway V to the ramp.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: FLC IN MLG SIZE ACFT AT PVD ARPT MAY HAVE ENTERED A RESTR AREA WHILE TAXIING TO THEIR RAMP.
Narrative: LANDED RWY 23 PVD, TURNED OFF RWY AT TXWY D. INSTRUCTED TO TAXI TO TXWY N RAMP VIA TXWY D, T, T1, V (NOT SURE IF CTLR INDICATED TO USE TXWY N, M, A TO N RAMP BECAUSE WE NORMALLY TAXIED FROM RWY 23 VIA TXWY V TO N RAMP). THE REVISION TO 10-9 CHANGING THE RESTR TO TAXIING ON N RAMP CAME OUT LATE AUG/98 EFFECTIVE AUG/XX/98. CAUSE: LONG TAXI CLRNC BECAUSE OF CONSTRUCTION ON SW PART OF TXWY V. CREW SHOULD BE CAREFUL TO CHK APCH PLATES FOR CHANGES, RESTRS, ETC. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 413801: LANDED RWY 23 AT PVD, TURNED OFF AT TXWY D. GND INSTRUCTED TO PROCEED TXWY D TO TXWY T R ON TXWY T, L ON TXWY V AND WHAT IS BELIEVED TO BE TXWY V TO THE END. HE MAY HAVE SAID TXWY V TO THE RAMP.
