Narrative:

After landing on runway 23L at ind, the tower controller advised me to, 'turn left, hold short of the parallel' (taxiway) and, 'contact ground, point niner.' my readback, due to misinterp was, 'turn left on the parallel and contact ground point niner.' I caused a lear jet to brake (albeit not to a stop) as I taxied in front of him on taxiway D, nebound. The ground controller promptly reminded me of my holding instruction upon checking in on frequency. I later called to verify with ind tower that a hold short was given to me. A return call confirmed this after ind tower review.
