Narrative:
Proceeding to land at crg while with jax approach 120.75 with ATIS and discrete transponder code (from 20+ mi south). The controller was very busy and failed to hand me off to crg tower 132.1. At 2.5 mi from the field, I called the tower and they asked my intentions. I told them what had happened and they cleared me to land. After landing, I talked to the tower on the phone. He said that approach said they had handed me off, which is a lie! They just forgot me.

Title: SMA PLT CALLS TWR ON SHORT FINAL WHEN HE PERCEIVES THAT APCH CTL HAS FAILED TO COORD COM XFER. PLT CALLS TWR TO BE TOLD THAT APCH CONTROVERTS PLTS CLAIM. PLT UPSET THAT APCH CTL WOULD NOT ADMIT ERROR.
Narrative: PROCEEDING TO LAND AT CRG WHILE WITH JAX APCH 120.75 WITH ATIS AND DISCRETE XPONDER CODE (FROM 20+ MI S). THE CTLR WAS VERY BUSY AND FAILED TO HAND ME OFF TO CRG TWR 132.1. AT 2.5 MI FROM THE FIELD, I CALLED THE TWR AND THEY ASKED MY INTENTIONS. I TOLD THEM WHAT HAD HAPPENED AND THEY CLRED ME TO LAND. AFTER LNDG, I TALKED TO THE TWR ON THE PHONE. HE SAID THAT APCH SAID THEY HAD HANDED ME OFF, WHICH IS A LIE! THEY JUST FORGOT ME.
