Narrative:

On approach to ILS runway 30L, we were not handed off to tower. We as a crew were busy with the approach, as conditions were IFR (IMC), and did not/forgot to ask for a handoff to tower. We landed without a verbal clearance from tower. When we switched to ground frequency, the controller asked if we heard tower clearing us to land and if we saw the flashing green light from the tower. This tells us that we indeed did have clearance to land. In the busy IMC, both we and bay approach control forgot to xfer us to sjc tower.

Title: A B727 FLC LNDG AT SJC, FORGETS TO CALL THE TWR FOR LNDG CLRNC. THE TWR DID ISSUE LIGHT SIGNALS FOR LNDG CLRNC.

Narrative: ON APCH TO ILS RWY 30L, WE WERE NOT HANDED OFF TO TWR. WE AS A CREW WERE BUSY WITH THE APCH, AS CONDITIONS WERE IFR (IMC), AND DID NOT/FORGOT TO ASK FOR A HDOF TO TWR. WE LANDED WITHOUT A VERBAL CLRNC FROM TWR. WHEN WE SWITCHED TO GND FREQ, THE CTLR ASKED IF WE HEARD TWR CLRING US TO LAND AND IF WE SAW THE FLASHING GREEN LIGHT FROM THE TWR. THIS TELLS US THAT WE INDEED DID HAVE CLRNC TO LAND. IN THE BUSY IMC, BOTH WE AND BAY APCH CTL FORGOT TO XFER US TO SJC TWR.
