Narrative:

Performing hydraulic leak check on flight controls with auxiliary pumps supplying only 6 gals per min, when controls should be operated with an external hydraulic source capable of supplying 40 gals per min at 3000 psi. This is a pressure versus volume issue that is not understood by our mgrs, on DC10- 30 and MD11 aircraft.
