Narrative:

I believe I made an error by not noticing the ground speed of the citation in a timely manner. I had thought the citation was doing 450 KTS ground speed, but due to data block overlap and complexity of traffic, actual speed of 350 KTS ground speed was not observed/recognized. To prevent a recurrence -- be more aware of type. A citation can be a slow C500 or a fast C750.

Title: ARTCC RADAR CTLR DOES NOT OBSERVE OVERTAKE SPD DIFFERENTIAL BTWN AN A320 AND C501 AND IS INVOLVED IN A SYS ERROR.

Narrative: I BELIEVE I MADE AN ERROR BY NOT NOTICING THE GND SPD OF THE CITATION IN A TIMELY MANNER. I HAD THOUGHT THE CITATION WAS DOING 450 KTS GND SPD, BUT DUE TO DATA BLOCK OVERLAP AND COMPLEXITY OF TFC, ACTUAL SPD OF 350 KTS GND SPD WAS NOT OBSERVED/RECOGNIZED.
