Air carrier DC9 flight crew initiate evasive action due to TCASII RA in departure initial climb out observed on TCASII. PIC questioned tower, who advised traffic, cessna jet, was maintaining visual separation from the DC9. PIC never saw traffic or was advised of traffic by tower or TRACON departure control.

Narrative:
On takeoff at ict runway 19R, got a TCASII RA to 'reduce vertical climb,' for a target just showing up immediately above our aircraft. Pushed aircraft over into slight descent to avoid target immediately above us. When questioned, tower said citation had us in sight. We never had the traffic in sight nor were we advised by tower or departure control of the traffic.

Narrative: ON TKOF AT ICT RWY 19R, GOT A TCASII RA TO 'REDUCE VERT CLB,' FOR A TARGET JUST SHOWING UP IMMEDIATELY ABOVE OUR ACFT. PUSHED ACFT OVER INTO SLIGHT DSCNT TO AVOID TARGET IMMEDIATELY ABOVE US. WHEN QUESTIONED, TWR SAID CITATION HAD US IN SIGHT. WE NEVER HAD THE TFC IN SIGHT NOR WERE WE ADVISED BY TWR OR DEP CTL OF THE TFC.
