Narrative:
Lost electrical power. Alternator went out. Called for landing gear observation (on handheld radio) (visual) to see whether gear was down after emergency procedures -- it looked down. Landed, gear remained locked.

Title: A PA24 PIPER ARROW LOSES ITS ALTERNATOR. THE PIC HAS TO USE THE EMER EXTENSION SYS AND A HANDHELD RADIO IN ORDER TO VERIFY THAT THE GEAR IS DOWN AND APPEARS TO BE LOCKED IN POS.
Narrative: LOST ELECTRICAL PWR. ALTERNATOR WENT OUT. CALLED FOR LNDG GEAR OBSERVATION (ON HANDHELD RADIO) (VISUAL) TO SEE WHETHER GEAR WAS DOWN AFTER EMER PROCS -- IT LOOKED DOWN. LANDED, GEAR REMAINED LOCKED.
