Narrative:
While practicing wheel lndgs in a citabria I had a bounce. On the second bounce the spring gear spread enough to allow the propeller to strike the runway. I believe the cause was not enough power and too steep an approach for a wheel landing. Engine and propeller have been sent in for overhaul

Title: PLT OF CITABRIA PRACTICING WHEEL LNDGS BOUNCES THE ACFT AND HAS A PROP STRIKE.
Narrative: WHILE PRACTICING WHEEL LNDGS IN A CITABRIA I HAD A BOUNCE. ON THE SECOND BOUNCE THE SPRING GEAR SPREAD ENOUGH TO ALLOW THE PROP TO STRIKE THE RWY. I BELIEVE THE CAUSE WAS NOT ENOUGH PWR AND TOO STEEP AN APCH FOR A WHEEL LNDG. ENG AND PROP HAVE BEEN SENT IN FOR OVERHAUL
