Narrative:

After landing runway 14 at anc we turned left off runway onto taxiway M. Tower called us and told us to 'turn left and taxi to the ramp with me,' (ground and tower combined operations). Turning left at that point put us on taxiway right, the first taxiway which then led to the ramp was taxiway V. As I turned the aircraft onto taxiway V the tower/ground called, told us to stop and hold our position as that taxiway was not stressed for our airplane. As the nose of the aircraft was already on the taxiway with no way to turn around, a tug was called to push the aircraft back onto taxiway right. This accomplished, we taxied to the gate. There was no conflict with other aircraft.

Narrative: AFTER LNDG RWY 14 AT ANC WE TURNED L OFF RWY ONTO TXWY M. TWR CALLED US AND TOLD US TO 'TURN L AND TAXI TO THE RAMP WITH ME,' (GND AND TWR COMBINED OPS). TURNING L AT THAT POINT PUT US ON TXWY R, THE FIRST TXWY WHICH THEN LED TO THE RAMP WAS TXWY V. AS I TURNED THE ACFT ONTO TXWY V THE TWR/GND CALLED, TOLD US TO STOP AND HOLD OUR POS AS THAT TXWY WAS NOT STRESSED FOR OUR AIRPLANE. AS THE NOSE OF THE ACFT WAS ALREADY ON THE TXWY WITH NO WAY TO TURN AROUND, A TUG WAS CALLED TO PUSH THE ACFT BACK ONTO TXWY R. THIS ACCOMPLISHED, WE TAXIED TO THE GATE. THERE WAS NO CONFLICT WITH OTHER ACFT.
